July 6, 1977 - Olympic Stadium, Montreal, Canada

I call this show the "infamous spitting incident." You know the story, no? Roger was so pissed off at the crowd that night (the last show of the tour) that he wound up spitting on a kid's face. Later upon reflection, Roger was shocked by his own behavior. He has said in interviews that this incident was the catalyst that prompted him to "look within" and to re-evaluate who he had become and what music meant to him. This process of self examination lead to the creation of the album The Wall.

This is a freaky performance - Roger really "loses it" on this one. He changes some of the lyrics in Shine On (6-9) to suit the mood. Also, he stops in the middle of Pigs On The Wings - 2 to yell at the crowd to vent some of his frustrations. If there is only one '77 show to get; this is it.

Please Note: I corrected the speed on this recording. It has an okay sound quality; not bad, but not great either. The set list is as follows:

1. Sheep
2. Pigs On The Wing - 1
3. Dogs
4. Pigs On The Wing - 2
5. Pigs (3 Different Ones)
6. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 1 - 5)
7. Welcome To The Machine
7. Have A Cigar
8. Wish You Were Here
9. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 6 - 9)
10. Money (Encore)
